There is hope, and it is found in Jesus. The Bible says that Jesus gives us life when we put our trust in him, and this is the hope that keep us going. We are given the promise that we have “this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure” (Hebrews chapter 6 verse 19).

“I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Saviour; my God will hear me” (Micah chapter 7 verse 7)

For those who find faith in Jesus, hope is not just crossing our fingers. It is confidence in God for now and for the future. One follower of Jesus called Peter wrote this: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you.” (1 Peter chapter 1 verses 3 and 4)
